Concrete & Paving in Springvale, Maine
Springvale's streets tell the town's story: mill-era homes shoulder to shoulder along Main Street and the Mousam, sidewalks and front walks that have carried a century of foot traffic, and driveways squeezed into lots that were laid out before anyone owned two cars. Working here is different from working on a wide rural lot, and we are minutes away, so we do it often.
The most common calls we get in Springvale are aging surfaces: a front walkway that has settled into a trip hazard, a garage slab cracked along the same line for a decade, a short driveway that has been sealed so many times the coating is thicker than the remaining asphalt. The honest answer differs by property. Some surfaces take a clean repair. Many are cheaper over ten years to replace on a corrected base than to patch three more times. When we do a Springvale site visit, that is the assessment you get, with the reasoning, through our concrete services and asphalt services.
Older Springvale lots also carry older drainage patterns. Roof water dumping beside a foundation, a neighbor's grade shedding onto your walkway, frost lifting the same slab corner every March. Our excavation and site work corrects those causes so the new surface stays where we put it.
Tight-lot experience matters here. We plan equipment access, protect what stays, and leave the property clean.

Can you replace a walkway without wrecking the lawn beside it?
Yes. Tight access is normal in Springvale and we plan for it. Equipment is sized to the job, and disturbed edges get loamed and seeded or restored to match what was there.
My driveway is short. Is it even worth paving professionally?
Short driveways are where base quality shows fastest, because every vehicle crosses the same footprint every day. A properly built short driveway outlasts a cheap one by decades, and the price difference is smaller than most owners expect.
The corner of my garage slab lifts every winter. Why?
Water is getting under that corner and freezing, almost always from roof runoff or grade sloping toward the building. The fix addresses the water first, then the slab. Mudjacking or patching without fixing the water only buys a season.
Do you do stamped concrete on small front entries?
Yes. A stamped entry walk or landing is one of the highest-impact upgrades on an older Springvale home, and small footprints keep the cost reasonable.
