Concrete, Asphalt & Excavation in Biddeford, Maine
Biddeford is rebuilding itself block by block, and a lot of that work eventually reaches the ground: hundred-year-old walkways in the neighborhoods around the mills, parking areas serving new downtown businesses, garage slabs poured when Model As parked on them, and coastal properties out at Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rocks where salt and sand work on every surface year round.
We fit that range because we do the ground and the surface both. Our excavation and site work corrects the settled fill, buried debris, and broken drainage that a century of dense development leaves behind, which is the usual reason a Biddeford slab or driveway failed in the first place. Then our concrete services and asphalt services build the new surface on a base that will hold it.
In-town Biddeford work is tight-access work: short setbacks, shared driveways, sidewalks close to the pour. We plan protection and access before the first machine arrives. Coastal Biddeford work is exposure work: sealers matched to salt, finishes that keep traction when wet, and drainage that moves storm water off the surface fast. Between the two sits a growing number of stamped concrete patios and entries, which we install as a specialty; on an older Biddeford home, a stamped walkway reads like it was always there.

Excavation & Site Work →Frequently Asked Questions
My house is on a tight downtown lot. Can you even get equipment in?
Almost always. We size equipment to the access, from full excavators down to walk-behind machines, and we have poured on lots where everything came through a gate. The site visit answers it for certain.
What is under old Biddeford driveways that makes them fail?
Frequently: settled trench lines from old utilities, buried construction debris, and bases that were never compacted to modern standards. Paving over that repeats the failure. We excavate to sound material and rebuild the base.
Is stamped concrete slippery for a pool-area patio?
Not when finished for it. We use texture and sealer combinations rated for wet traffic. Stamped pool surrounds at Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rocks are exactly the kind of project we like.
Do you work for Biddeford landlords and small commercial owners?
Yes. Multi-unit walkways, small lots, and aprons are steady work for us, with scheduling planned around tenants and customers.
